What I didn't realize at the time was that this simple trip would become the beginning of a wonderful friendship.Over the weeks and months that followed, she called again.Sometimes it was for a hair appointment.Sometimes it was to have her nails done.Sometimes it was grocery shopping.And sometimes, she simply wanted to get out of the house.Those rides reminded me that loneliness can be just as challenging as any medical condition.
